I have spent most of my career working with corporate and commercial clients. Headshots, executive portraiture, branding photography. The work that makes someone look credible in front of the people they are trying to impress.

When AI digital twins became something businesses actually wanted, the connection was immediate. A digital twin is a version of someone that represents them on camera. That is exactly what a photographer does. The difference is that a photographer works with light, lens, and posture. A digital twin also works with codec, bit depth, white balance consistency, and chroma subsampling.

I already knew the craft side. I taught myself the technical side by testing until the results matched the standard my photography clients expect.

The platforms gave me documentation. Google gave me tutorials. Most of it was either incomplete or wrong in practice.

Why did footage that looked correct on screen produce an avatar that looked like a video game character? Why did some uploads fail silently with no error message? Why did background removal produce halos on some subjects and not others?

None of these answers existed anywhere publicly. They came from uploading footage, watching what the AI did with it, adjusting one variable at a time, and uploading again.
